Horizon 2020 is the new financial instrument of the European Union that will replace the Framework Programmes supporting international cooperation in the field of ICT. 

Horizon 2020 will enter into force in 2014 and will cover the period 2014 - 2020. However, the programme, as well its budget is still under negotiation among the European institutions.
