EU-Brazil innovation and Best Practice in IT Ecosystems Track

The International ACM Conference on Management of Emergent Digital EcoSystems (MEDES’ 13) to be held in Neumünster Abbey, Luxemburg, 28-31 October 2013, includes a special track called “EU-Brazil innovation and Best Practice in IT Ecosystems”. This special track aims to bring together a large community, which is constituted by academia, government, research institutes, and industry from Brazil and Europe, that are interested to explore current challenges related to resource management of digital ecosystems and, as well as to understand how current approaches and technologies can be developed and adapted for improving the development of Brazilian and Europe society.

The propose of this track is to show main areas and projects in development related to Information Technology Ecosystems and to look for opportunities to collaborate with European participants involved in the MEDES conference. Special sessions are expected to be proposed by companies and research institutions with themes related to topics of the conference. In fact, this track will be a great opportunity to promote cooperation with innovation and practice in IT R&D among Brazilian/Latin American and European Institutions.

Topics
Research papers submitted addressed a variety of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Software forge ecosystem
  • Social computing
  • Collective intelligence discovery
  • Collaborative e-government
  • Collective awareness system and monitoring and prevention of natural disasters
  • Governance models for collaborative networks
  • New approaches for government and IT
