Results of EU-LAC Summit - Madrid, 18 May 2010

The VIth EU-LAC Summit took place in Madrid this week. The final declaration and all other relevant material can be found on the European Commission's website. As part of the preparatory activities of the Summit, DG Research of the EC, released an interesting document, Towards an EU-LAC Knowledge Space, summarising  scientific and technological cooperation achievements between the two regions. From an S&T point of view, the Summit was preceded, on 14 May, by a Ministerial Forum on Science and Technology. The main conclusions of the Forum  are summarised in a Flash Note prepared by DG Research.
